KOTG joins Alpha Ireland Team on first GAT (Global Alpha Training) to Cambodia
On March 16th a team of 5 will travel to Cambodia to deliver the first ever Global Alpha Training Course in Cambodia! The team includes KOTG members Susan O’Toole and Bruce Johnson, along with Arun Kumar, who many of you may know, Ger Nevin from Ferbane in Co Offaly and George Griffin. The team will be delivering the training on March 20th-22nd at Cambodia Hope Organisation in Poipet, on the Cambodian-Thai border.
60 churchleaders will be trained and equipped to deliver Alpha in their own churches and communities, many in very remote rural locations.
Cambodia is still recovering from the terrible genocide of Pol Pot in the 70s. The people there need the hope and restoration that only the Lord Jesus Christ can bring. Christianity is a minority religion and our brothers and sisters are hungry for teaching and ways to reach their communities.
Please pray for us as we prepare, for the timely completion of translations of the Alpha materials which are now underway, and our safe travel and health. Pray for the 60 leaders who will be attending the course, that they will be encouraged and inspired by Alpha and that the Lord’s harvest will be plentiful!
As Cambodia is a very poor country, we are funding the costs for each delegate to attend. In total this is $5265 (€3950) or €66 per delegate which covers transport, food, accommodation and training materials. If you would like to sponsor a delegate or make a donation we would be very appreciative. You can donate through the Alpha Ireland website by pressing on the donate button at the bottom of the Alpha Ireland homepage www.alphacourse.ie
With thanks,
Susan O’Toole
Evening of Prayer for the Parish
Following the evening of Prayer we had on a Sunday evening in early December, we are facilitating another Praise and Prayer evening in the parish centre on Sunday 19th February at 7:00pm. We will come together to pray particularly for the spiritual life of the parish, as we’ve just begun another year, which is likely to be one of transition and change for our church family. But we can be thankful that we serve a God who is faithful and constant. “But you remain the same, and your years will never end.” Psalm_102:27
Do come and join us when we as a church meet to pray and seek the Lord and ask for his guidance and wisdom for the journey ahead.

Born and raised in Dublin, Trich left Ireland in 1973 for the Netherlands at the beginning of her marriage to Derek. It was in The Hague that they came into a personal relationship with Jesus and a lifelong adventure of faith began.
They joined Youth With A Mission in the Netherlands in 1979 and Trich served in various capacities of pastoral leadership. Together they pioneered Family Ministries in Holland and spent many years teaching seminars, training couples, and leading family camps.
On returning to Ireland in 1999 they set up Family Life Resources, a ministry to strengthen Marriage, Family and Interpersonal relationships. As part of YWAM’s University of the Nations resource staff, Trich travels with her husband to different parts of the world teaching and training. They also serve as the Arrow Leadership Programme’s pastoral couple, and are part time lay ministers in Redcross Church, County Wicklow.
Its hard for Trich to write a personal profile without mentioning Derek, as they have worked as a team for all these years! They are proud parents of Sarah and Rebecca, sons in law Andrew and Martijn, and delighted grandparents of Matthew, Adam, Anna and Owen. Trich loves walking, cooking, reading, talking, watching Masterchef, and generally being a home maker.
