The music group continue to lead worship on Sunday mornings at the 10am service. During this past year, I have been delighted to share the piano stool with Jenny and Diane! We have welcomed the input of some new singers, namely Tanja, Penny and Peta, who have helped to lift our voices in song. We are always on the lookout for new musicians and singers so please do let me know if you would be interested! We practice once a month on either a Monday or Tuesday evening which are important times to come together for some fellowship, to learn new songs and prepare the music for the month ahead. Sunday mornings are organised on a rota basis, so you can be involved as much or as little as you like. I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have been involved with the music group, some of whom are there Sunday after Sunday with very few breaks; we are indebted to Mark on the drums, Terry, Richie and Adam who play guitar, Joy, Suzette and Sheila who have been leading the singing for some time now, Sandy on the violin and Bert on his many and varied array of musical instruments! Ian organises the music for the family services. Thanks as well to Edel, Pia and Kate who organise the visuals for the songs which appear on the screen each week. The beautiful images to accompany the lyrics really enhance our worship.
At the heart of everything we do, our prayer is that we would hold true to the words of Philippians 4:10, ‘I want to know Christ…’. As we spend time praising and worshipping the living God, so we are drawn closer to Him. As we sing of His greatness, we are challenged to reflect His beauty everywhere we go. May Jesus always be our focus, our hope and our song.
The Choir, although small in number, continue to lead the singing at the 11:30 service on Sunday mornings. New members are always welcome.
